Barbara (Hehn) Lukas

YORK – Barbara (Hehn) Lukas, 89, passed away Sunday, September 22, 2013 at Messiah Village in Mechanicsburg. She was the wife of the late Josef Lukas. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM Thursday, October 3, 2013 at Messiah Village, 100 Mount Allen Drive, Mechanicsburg, PA 17055 with Pastor Debby Bentch officiating. Private burial will be in Prospect Hill Cemetery. Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Road, York is in charge of arrangements. Born May 16, 1924 in Yugoslavia, she was the daughter of the late Franz and Maria (Schneider) Hehn. Mrs. Lukas enjoyed spending time gardening. She is survived by a son, Josef and wife Cathy Lukas of Dover; two daughters, Ann M. and husband Richard Miller of York and Irene and husband William Clifford of Newville; nine grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; and one great great granddaughter. In lieu of flowers, contributions in memory of Barbara may be made to Messiah Village.
