Barbara (Bunnell) Koster

HELLAM - Barbara [Bunnell] Koster, 76, died Monday, February 19, 2007 at York Hospital, surrounded by all four of her children. She was the wife of Richard A. "Dick" Koster to whom she was married 57 years. Mrs. Koster enjoyed sailing, swimming, gardening, bridge, and making a lovely home for her beloved husband and children. Her positive outlook on life helped her through a valiant battle against cancer. Born August 25, 1930, in Brooklyn, NY, she was the daughter of the late Rice and Ethel Bunnell. In addition to her husband, Mrs. Koster is survived by a son, Richard I. Koster of Dover; three daughters, Joan D. Roth of Durango, Colo., Phyllis I. Koster of Hellam, and Lynn A. Koster of York; six grandchildren, Taylor, Lauren, Jessica, Kristina, Greg, and Gage; a cousin, Gilbert Bunnell of York; and other family members. A private memorial service will be held at the convenience of the family. Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Road, York, is in charge of arrangements.
