Barbara A. Mountz

LEWISBERRY-Barbara Allen (Ross) Mountz, 81, of 450 Stone Jug Road, Lewisberry, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday, March 26, 2011, at 4:50 p.m. at her residence. A native of Cumberland County, NC she was the wife of George K. Mountz and the daughter of the late Millard Franklin Ross and the late Dorcas Gappins Ross. She graduated from Lake Worth High School with honors as well as magna cum laude and valedictorian from God's Bible College in Cincinnati, OH. She was a member of the Stillmeadow Church of the Nazarene and a retired employee of the Navy Depot in Mechanicsburg. Survivors include her husband of the home; two daughters, Vicki Brenneman and her husband Brian, of Graham, NC, Deborah Reed and her husband Robert, of Line Lexington, PA; one son, Ross Mountz of Telford, PA; one sister, Juanita Fretz of Pine Hill, NJ; and five grandchildren, Daniel Brenneman and wife Lauren, of Mooresville, NC, Rachel Brenneman of Mooresville, NC, Nathan Brenneman of Graham, NC, Weston Mountz of Telford, PA, and Christian Mountz of Telford, PA. The funeral service will be held 4 p.m. Friday, April 1, 2011 at Stillmeadow Church of the Nazarene, 400 Stillmeadow Lane, York with Dr. Bayse H. Bud Reedy, Dr. Roy Carnahan, and Pastor Kent Vandervort officiating . The family will receive friends from 3 to 4 p.m. at the church for a viewing prior to the service. Burial will be private at the request of the family. Beaver-Urich Funeral Home, Inc., 305 W. Front St., Lewisberry, is in charge of arrangements.
