Barbara A. Berry

Dover – Barbara A. (Sipple) Berry, 79, passed away on Tuesday, May 4, 2021 at her residence. She was the loving wife of the late James T. Berry, to whom she shared 45 years of marriage before he passed away on February 18, 2008. We know she is happy to be by his side again. Born on July 5, 1941 in Danville, PA, she was a daughter of the late Alfred E. and Mildred J. (Emschweiler) Sipple. Barbara was a 1959 graduate of West York High School. She worked for Weis Market for over 40 years before she retired from her position as a pharmacy tech in 2011. Family was everything to Barb and in them she found her greatest joy. She hosted family dinner on Friday evenings for over 25 years. Barb threw family reunions that brought together extended family and built a lifetime of memories of laughter, games and shenanigans. She was a very proud grandma to Matt and thought he hung the moon! During her free time, you could find her working in her flower garden, cooking -she was a phenomenal cook, or doing what she did best-caring for those she loved. She will be deeply missed by all who loved her and will be remembered most for her caring heart, ability to make friends wherever she went, and genuinely being one of those people that if you knew her, she loved you, and if she loved you-you knew it. Barbara is survived by her son, Wesley Berry of Dover; daughter, Lori Berry of Dover; grandson, Matthew Beaner of Lancaster; and sister, Karen Lippy of Dover. A Memorial Service will be held at 10:30 AM on Saturday, May 8, 2021 at Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Road, York, PA 17408. Officiating will be Reverend Dr. Eddie D. D.
