Baker Wilhelm

York—Baker Wilhelm, 75, died Saturday, July 21, 2007 at his residence in York Township. A private celebration of life service will be held at the family's convenience. Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Rd, York is in charge of arrangements. Mr. Wilhelm was born October 16, 1931 in Bosworth, Missouri, a son of the late Ernest R. and Edyth E. (Stanton) Wilhelm. His career in food service spanned two decades, as small business owner of Sambos Restaurant and operating and managing Golden Corral for several years until his retirement in 1985. A United States Marine Corps veteran of the Korean Conflict, he was also a dedicated member of the Republican Party and member of Self Realization Fellowship. He was also a former race horse owner and lifelong race horse enthusiast. Mr. Wilhelm is survived by one son, Calvin M. Wilhelm of Grants Pass OR, one daughter, Janice M. Wilhelm of Seven Valleys, 3 grandchildren and one brother, Jack Wilhelm of Springfield, MO
