Audrey R. (Mcclellan) Boyer

YORK- Audrey R. (McClellan) Boyer, 64, died Wednesday, May 6, 2009 at York Hospital. She was the loving wife of Walter R. Boyer. The couple had celebrated their 36th wedding anniversary on December 18. A Celebration of Life Service will be Friday, May 8, 2009 at 11 a.m. at Life Tributes by Olewiler & Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, 35 Gotham Pl., Red Lion. Viewings will be Thursday 7-9 and Friday 10-11. Steve Warner, Assistant Pastor at Grace Baptist Church, will officiate. Burial will follow at Susquehanna Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Born April 5, 1945, a daughter of the late Walter and Elizabeth (Buckingham) McClellan. Audrey worked as a cook for York College as well as Dallastown Nursing Center until her retirement in April of 2006. Mrs. Boyer was a past president of Legion Ladies Auxiliary Post 605 and a treasurer for VVNW Post 35. Audrey loved to travel and enjoyed constructing puzzles. Along with her husband, Audrey leaves three sons, Michael and his wife Vena of York, Jeffrey and his companion Cathy of York, and Mark and his wife Jennifer of Harrisburg; two daughters, Karen Sprow and her husband Thomas of Red Lion, and Angela and her companion John of York; nine grandchildren, Megan, Jonathon, Jayde, Danielle, Brittany, Trevor, D.J., Jackxtyn, and Harley; one brother, Anthony McClellan. Preceding her in death was one brother, Walter McClellan.
