Audrey M. Spiess |POTTSVILLE-Audrey M. Spiess 88, of Pottsville died Monday at the Schuylkill Medical Center South Jackson, Pottsville. Born in Pottsville, on May 6, 1920, she was the daughter of the late John and Mae Jones Winterer. She graduated Pottsville High School. Mrs. Spiess worked for Philip Van Heusen Company, Pottsville. Mrs. Spiess was a member of Trinity Episcopal Church Pottsville. She was also a member of the Pottsville Senior Citizens and was active in the Senior Olympics. |Mrs. Spiess in proceeded in death by two husbands George R. Spiess, and Charles W. Spiess. Surviving is a son John, husband of Arlene Spiess, Spring City, PA. Two granddaughters Janet, wife of Tim Robson, Stroudsburg, PA; Lynn, wife of Dan Moritz, Limerick, PA, a grandson Kurt, husband of Colleen Spiess, Spring City, PA. Five step grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. A sister Norma Hubler, Schuylkill Haven, and a nephew. Funeral service will be conducted on Thursday, at 2:00 P.M. at Trinity Episcopal Church, Centre and Howard Avenue, Pottsville. There will be no calling hours Wednesday evening. Family and friends may call at the Schlitzer-Allen-Pugh Funeral Home, Inc., Thursday, afternoon from 12:30 till 1:30 P.M. The family would prefer remembrances in the form of contributions to be sent to Trinity Episcopal Church, 200 South Second Street, Pottsville, PA 17901.
