Audrey Kirby

Audrey Kirby, born Audrey McLaughlin on June 12th, 1925, in Catlin New York, peacefully passed away on December 20, 2023, in York PA. Pat, as she was fondly known, was a remarkable woman who will be deeply missed by all who had had the privilege of knowing her.

During World War II, Pat worked for a defense plant for one year, contributing to the war effort. Following her time there, she served as a civilian service mechanic working with the Army Air Corp stationed in Hawaii. Her dedication and skill in this role were greatly admired.

Pat is survived by her beloved daughters, Kathy Fenstermacher (Terrence) and Kristine Segatti. She was a loving grandmother to four grandchildren and a cherished great grandmother to seven great-grandchildren. Pat was predeceased by her husband Robert L. Kirby, and her siblings: Delwin McLaughlin, William McLaughlin, George McLaughlin, Virginia Clark, Dorothy Cornell, and Mary Lou Guthrie.

A private memorial service will be held at the convenience of the family. The compassionate staff at Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Rd, York is assisting the family with the arrangements.

Audrey Kirby’s memory will forever be treasured by her family and friends. Her legacy of dedication, love, and strength will continue to inspire those who were fortunate enough to have known her.
