Audrey A. (Isbell) Allen

TROY- Audrey A. (Isbell) Allen, 60, of Towanda, PA, was called home to her loving Savior surrounded by her family on Tuesday, April 3, 2012. She was the loving wife of Gerald V. “Jerry” Allen. The couple married April 10, 1971 and had 40 happy years together. Family and friends are welcome to call from 1:00-3:00 pm and 6:00-8:00 pm on Monday, April 9, 2012 and again from 10:00-11:00 am on Tuesday April 10th at the Gerald W. Vickery, Jr. Funeral Home, Inc. 1093 West Main Street Troy, PA. The funeral service to honor Audrey’s life will be held at 11:00 am on Tuesday, April 10th at the funeral home with Rev. Donn L. Houser of the Independent Baptist Church of Towanda officiating. Burial will follow the service in Bradford County Memorial Park. Audrey was born, on January 21, 1952 in Towanda, PA, daughter of the late Clarence L. Isbell and Aileen E. (Bronson) Isbell of Columbia Cross Roads, PA. She is a graduate of Troy Area High School, Class of 1969. After completing two years in accounting at Bloomsburg University, she began a twenty-five year business career of full and part-time bookkeeping positions encompassing entry-level bookkeeping and preparing financial statements. Audrey was serving her fifth term as Bradford County Auditor. She an active member of the State Association of County Auditors and was active in the Bradford County Council of Republican Women. In her spare time, Audrey enjoyed family trips, genealogy, needlepoint, and other crafts. She also had her private pilot’s license. Audrey loved the Lord and was Baptist by faith. Audrey is survived by her husband Jerry, her mother Aileen, her sons: Jason V. (Jennifer) Allen of Burlington, PA, Ryan M. (Teresa) Allen of Canton, PA, and Matthew P. (Pam) Allen of Troy, PA, her grandchildren: Ethan, Mya, Emily, Austin, Evan, and unborn granddaughter due in May; Alexandra Audrey, her siblings: Leslie Isbell, Cathy Burlingame, Steven Isbell, Allissa Senn and Ted Isbell, along with several nieces and nephews.
