Ashok Govind Bhadsavle

WEST MANCHESTER TOWNSHIP- Ashok Govind Bhadsavle, 67, of York, died Monday, October 17, 2011 at York Hospital. He was the husband of Beena Ashok (Chawathe) Bhadsavle. The couple celebrated their 39th wedding anniversary on May 22nd. A Funeral Service will be held at 6 p.m. on Wednesday, October 19, 2011 at Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, inc., 1551 Kenneth Rd. in York. Mr. Bhadsavle was born in Mumbai, India on March 22, 1944, a son of Govind and Pratibha (Karulkar) Bhadsavle. He worked as a Product Manager for 23 years at Gea Fes, Inc. in York where he specialized in Heat Transfer. Prior to that he worked for Lockheed in Huntsville, AL, where he was one of the Design Engineers for the Space Shuttle from 1968-1970. Mr. Bhadsavle was a member of Hari Temple in Harrisburg. He was loved by his family and friends from Dallas, TX to Mumbai, India and all points in between. He was the first member of the Bhadsavle family who immigrated to the United States in 1967. He also helped other members of the family follow him. Along with his wife, Mr. Bhadsavle leaves a son, Siraj; a daughter, Seema and her husband, Keval; two brothers, Anil and Sudhir and two sisters, Rani and Aruna. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to American Heart Association, York County Division, 610 Community Way, Lancaster, PA 17603.
