Arthur W. Mumper

AUGUSTA, GA- Arthur W. Mumper, 71 formerly of Winfield, entered into rest on Thursday, July 10, 2008 in the VA Medical Center in Augusta, GA. Arthur was born on March 7, 1937 in Lewistown, PA, son of the late Cloyd Mumper and Beatrice (Benner) Mumper of Winfield, PA. He was a U.S. Army veteran, and earned a Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering from Penn State University. Arthur He was a member of the St. Andrews United Methodist Church in Milton and attended Asbury United Methodist Church in Augusta, GA. Arthur is survived by his mother Beatrice, his son Elliott Cloyd Mumper of Augusta, GA, his brothers; Herbert Mumper of Philadelphia, PA, David Mumper of Milton, PA and his sister Nina Fidler of Turbotsville, PA. He was preceded in death by his father and by his son James "Jimmy" Mumper who passed away in 1981, his brother Neil Mumper and sister Gail Hess. Family and friends are welcome to gather from 10:00 AM-12:00 PM on Tuesday, July 15, 2008 at the Dale E. Ranck Funeral Service, Inc. 125 North Front Street, Milton, PA. The funeral service to honor Arthur's life will be held at 12:00 PM on Tuesday, July 15th at the funeral home with Rev. William L. Gibson officiating. Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family in Juniata Memorial Park in Lewistown, PA. Honorary pallbearers were; Rodney A. Burns, Harold Schrawder, Herb Mumper, Kegan Mumper, Bob Fidler, Scotty Fidler, David Mumper and Raymond Burns.
