Arthur R. Morgan

POTTSVILLE-Arthur "Art" R. Morgan, 82, of Pottsville, passed away Saturday evening at West Reading Hospital. Born in Tremont on October 18, 1926, he was a son of the late Harry and Florence Roth Morgan. Art attended Tremont schools. He retired from the former Fox-Knapp, Pine Grove, where he worked for 45 years. He was of the Lutheran faith. He was preceded in death by her son, Rodney Morgan; two sisters, Catherine Joy and Ruth Gerber; seven brothers, Mervin, Silas, Clair, Albert, John, Sterling and Milton. Art is survived by his wife, Theresa Wedrow Morgan, Pottsville, to whom he was married 29 years; his son, Keith Morgan, of Jolliet; his stepdaughter and caretaker, Carolyn Bernatonis, of Pottsville; two sisters, Diane Degler, of Donaldson and Betty Budwash, of Frackville; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday at 10:00 A.M. at the Schlitzer-Allen-Pugh Funeral Home, Inc., Pottsville. Family and friends may call on Tuesday evening from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. and also on Wednesday morning from 9:00 A.M. until time of service at the funeral home.
