Arthur R. Fehr

Pottsville- Arthur R. Fehr, 71, of Schuylkill Haven, formerly of Pottsville, passed away unexpectedly at his residence on Thursday morning. Born in Pine Grove on October 21, 1937 he was a son of the late Arthur A. and Grace Guldin Fehr. Arthur was a 1956 graduate of Cressona High School. Following high school, he joined the Navy. He served from 1956 until 1960 spending most of his time aboard the U.S.S. Noxubee. Arthur owned the former Esso Service Center on South Centre Street in Pottsville in the 1960's. He retired from Associated Wholesalers Incorporated, Robesonia, where he was a truck driver. He was a member of the United Presbyterian Church, Pottsville. Arthur was preceded in death by his son Jeffrey Fehr, who passed away in 2006; his two brothers, Charles and Richard Fehr. He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Janet L. Glore Fehr, Schuylkill Haven; his two sons, Dennis A. Fehr, husband of Deborah, of Pottsville and Randy, husband of Suzanne, of Orwigsburg; his six Grandchildren, Jessica, Kayla, Kyle, Jason, Lydia and Erika Fehr; his daughter-in-law, Kelly Fehr; his brother, Dennis Fehr, husband of Pauline, of Freidensburg; his sister, Nancy Bolton, wife of John, of Schuylkill Haven; nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held on Monday morning at 11:00 A.M. in St. John's Reformed Church, Freidensburg. Reverend Howard Souder will officiate. Friends may call on Monday morning from 10:00 A.M. until time of service in the church. Interment will be held in St. John's Reformed Cemetery, Freidensburg.
