Arnold M. Silverstein

YORK – Arnold M. Silverstein, 86, passed away Wednesday, March 27, 2024 at Integrecare – The Residence at Fitz Farm. He was the husband of Patricia A. (Mias) Silverstein to whom he was married for 55 years.

Born December 8, 1937 in Brooklyn, NY, he was a son of the late Edward and Vivian (Lang) Silverstein. After graduating high school, Mr. Silverstein attended college at the University of Pittsburgh where he played college basketball. Even after playing basketball for Pitt, Arnold enjoyed staying active by golfing, playing pickleball, and trying a new workout and diet every week. Above all else, he enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren. They were his world.

In addition to his wife, Patricia, Mr. Silverstein is survived by two sons, Jason Silverstein and his wife, Angela and Marc Silverstein; four grandchildren, Logan, Ryan, Birdie, and Cricket Silverstein; and a brother, Barry Silverstein. He was preceded in death by his parents, Edward and Vivian Silverstein.

Services will be private at the convenience of the family. Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., York, is assisting the family with arrangements.
