Arnold E. Burrows, Sr.

Arnold E. "Hefty" Burrows Sr., age 78, of S. Renovo, died at Bucktail Medical Center on Sunday, August 23, 2009. He was born in S. Renovo on April 17, 1931, son of the late Harry and Emma Herter Burrows. Arnold worked as a brakeman for the Pennsylvania Railroad and was a member of the Zion Lutheran Church. He enjoyed paint by number pictures, hunting rabbits, walking, and playing nickel Bingo at Bucktail. He was a life member of the Eagles and American Legion, and served his country in the U.S. Navy. On May 3, 1952 at Zion Lutheran Church, Arnold married Alene Lundfelt who survives. Also surviving is his son: Arnold E. (Debra) Burrows Jr. of Mill Hall, daughters: Holly (Charles ) Cowfer of Pennsdale and Beth (Bob) Getz of S. Renovo, grandchildren: Rob, Chuckie, Collin, and Holden and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by 2 brothers and 5 sisters. Memorial funeral services will be held at a later date and will be published when scheduled. Maxwell Funeral Home of Renovo is in charge of the arrangements.
