Arline L. (Sterling) Janison

YORK- Arline L. (Sterling) Janison, 66, passed away Sunday, January 1, 2017 at her home. A Celebration of Life tribute service will be held at 4 PM on Saturday, January 14, 2017 at Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 155 Kenneth Road, York, with Certified Celebrant Betty Frey officiating. A visitation will be held from 2-4 PM prior to the service. Born February 21, 1950 in Harrisburg, Arline was a daughter of the late James A., Jr. and Mary L. (Bittle) Sterling. She worked on the manufacturing line as a spot welder for Harley Davidson. Arline was a gifted artist in painting, calligraphy, and intaglio printing. She enjoyed knitting, doing stained glass work and was an avid beader and gardener. Her two greatest loves were spending time with her granddaughter, Elizabeth and her cats. Arline is survived by a daughter, Christine Janison and her partner, Pawnee Brady of Norfolk, VA; a granddaughter, Elizabeth; a brother, James A. Sterling III and his wife Anita of Claymont, DE; a sister, Judith A. Hawk of Wilmington, NC, and a nephew, Justin Hawk. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Paws, P.O.
