Arlene Sobczak Warner

RED LION- Arlene M. (Grove) Sobczak Warner, 97 entered into rest February 2, 2021 at ManorCare Health Services York South. She was the wife of Richard E. Warner to whom she was married for 36 years. There will be a viewing for the public from 10-11 a.m. on Friday, February 5, 2021 at Olewiler & Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 35 Gotham Place in Red Lion. There will be a private service and burial in Zion United Methodist Cemetery in Red Lion. Born in Chanceford Township on April 18, 1923, Arlene was the daughter of the late Clinton O. and Myrtle S. (Wise) Grove. She worked at various Box Factories in Dallastown and Red Lion and kept house for numerous years for Herb Grove and his wife. She attended St Paul’s United Methodist Church in Red Lion. Arlene loved to cook. She enjoyed spending time with her large family and friends. Arlene is survived by her second husband, Richard, her step-son, David Warner, Felton, four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Casmer Sobczak to whom she had been married to for 24 years; her four brothers, Homer, Robert, Carl, and Clinton, Jr.; her five sisters, Vernetta Tyson, Dorothy Grove, Zelda Grove, Mae Grove, and Fern Workinger; and her step-daughter, Mary Bowles.
