York—Arlene Mae (Krug) Wilcox, 85, died Wednesday, June 15, 2011 at her residence in Springettsbury Township. She was the wife of the late Ralph E. Wilcox Jr. A Funeral Service will be 10 am, Saturday, June 18, 2011 at Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Rd, York, with her pastor, the Rev. J.P. Bohanon, officiating. There will be no viewing or visitation. Burial will be held in Mt. Rose Cemetery. Born March 16, 1926 in West York, she was the daughter of the late John W. and Elsie M. (Eisenhour) Krug. She was a retired photo printer for the former Simon Studio for 20 years and previously worked for the former Sweigart’s Photo Shop for 13 years. Mrs. Wilcox was a member of Bethany United Methodist Church in York and a former member of St. Luke United Methodist Church. She was also a member of the Leisure Club at Bethany, member of the Red Hat Society, Galleria Gallopers and a 1944 graduate of William Penn High School. She had a great love for her family and her Jack Russell “Murron” Mrs. Wilcox is survived by her son, Bradley E. Wilcox and wife Glenda of York, two granddaughters, Lindsay Thomas and husband, Jason of York and Jessica O’Donnell of Ohio, two great grandchildren, Aiden Thomas and Estelle Baker, one brother, John W. Krug Jr., of York and niece and nephews. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Pamela M. Wilcox. Memorial contributions may be made to SPCA, 3159 N.
