BROGUE- Arlene A. (Gohn) Howard Gross, 86, died Wednesday, February 20, 2008 at Rest Haven Nursing & Rehabilitation Center-York. She was the wife of the late James E. Howard and the late Charles E. Gross. A funeral service will be 11:00 a.m. on Monday, February 25, 2008 at Bethel United Methodist Church, 1674 Furnace Church Rd., Brogue with her pastor, the Rev. Peter Beddia officiating. A viewing will be from 9 to 11:00 a.m. Monday at the church. Burial will be in Bethel United Methodist Church Cemetery. Life Tributes by Olewiler & Hefner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 35 Gotham PL., Red Lion is assisting the family. Arlene was born December 8, 1921, a daughter of the late Mervin and Mary A. (Forry) Gohn. She was a life member of Bethel United Methodist Church, Brogue and was active in Sunday school and choir. She enjoyed crocheting and embroidery. Arlene is survived by a son, James P. and his wife, Sandra Howard of Brogue; a daughter, Mary Ann and her husband, Reed Shaull of Brogue; three step daughters, Madalene M. Sheeley of Red Lion, Dawn E. Kepler of Dallastown, and Sandra J. Treaster of McAllisterville; six grandchildren; nine step grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; 17 step great grandchildren; six step great-great grandchildren; and a brother, M. Dale and his wife, Janet Gohn of Felton. Preceding her in death is a brother, Preston L. Gohn. Memorial contributions may be made to Bethel United Methodist Church, 1674 Furnace Rd., Brogue, PA 17309.
