Arlene H. (Mcclure) Homa

POTTSVILLE - Arlene H. (McClure) Homa, 80, of Pottsville, died on Monday morning at the Schuylkill Center. Born in Pottsville on October 20, 1930, she was a daughter of the late Clarence and Viola Moore McClure. She was a 1948 graduate of Pottsville High School. She was married to the late Andrew Homa, who died in February of 2002. Until retiring, she was employed by Yuengling Ice Cream for over 30 years and Mootz Candy for over 20 years. She was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church, Pottsville. Arlene had a wonderful sense of humor. She is survived by nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by: a sister, Nancy Dechert and two brothers, William and Clarence “Sam” McClure. A memorial service will be held on Saturday at 9:30 AM from the Trinity Lutheran Church, 3rd & W. Arch St., Pottsville, with Rev. Darcy Reis officiating. Family and friends may call at the church from 8:30 AM until time of service. Interment will be in Schuylkill Memorial Park, Schuylkill Haven. The Schlitzer Allen Pugh Funeral Home, Inc., 6th & W. Market St., Pottsville, is handling the arrangements.
