Arlene E. (Willits) Young

Arlene E. (Willits) Young, 73 of Newberry in Williamsport, PA, passed away on Friday, October 2, 2009, at her home surrounded by her family. She was the loving wife of Eugene A. Young of Newberry. The couple married in June of 1983 and had 26 happy years together. Arlene was born on January 27, 1936 in South Avis, PA, daughter of the late William "Buzz" and Alice (Bower) Willits. She managed the Tilburg's Personal Care Home until she retired. Arlene attended Faith Wesleyan Church and was a member of the Democratic Club, was a former member of the Moose, and loved flowers, animals, and going to yard sales. Arlene is survived by her husband Eugene, her children: Blanche Trainor of Erie, PA, Robin (Arthur) Kriner of Williamsport, PA, and Bryan (Carla) Reese of Idaho, her step-children: Leona Walters, George Young, Eugene Young, Jr., Yvonne Fridien, William Young, and Teresa (Glen) Minnick, all of Williamsport, PA, 23 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren, her sisters and brothers: Clara Mae Wilson of Lock Haven, PA, John Willits of Alabama, Robert Willits of Jersey Shore, PA, Ruthann Fausey of Jersey Shore, PA, Frank Willits of Jersey Shore, PA, Gary Lee Willits of Oval, PA, Vernon Willits of South Avis, PA, and several nieces and nephews. Arlene is preceded in death by her parents, her children: Frank, Faye, and David Reese, and her sister Patricia Kinney.
