Arlene D. Schrom

York—Arlene D. Schrom, 83, died Monday, April 21, 2008 at Manor Care Health Services-South. A funeral service will be held 11 a.m., Friday, April 25, 2008 at Heffner Funeral Chapel and Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Rd, York. A viewing will be held from 10 to 11 a.m., Friday at the funeral chapel. Burial will be held in Prospect Hill Cemetery. Ms. Schrom was born March 5, 1925 in York, a daughter of the late Charles and Mabel (Nispel) Schrom and was a graduate of William Penn High School. She was employed with Sechrist Bros., for many years as a Clerk and retired in 1997. An avid bingo player at the Yorktowne House, she also enjoyed attending market in York, going to Las Vegas to gamble and visit her sister and loved watching T.V. Ms. Schrom is survived by one daughter, Judy Willis and husband Larry of York, one grandchild, Larry Willis Jr., and girlfriend Dena Tippit, two great-grandchildren, Monica Willis and Brandon Willis, former granddaughter -in-law, Candice Willis of York, and four sisters, Catherine Arthur, Margaret Taylor and Mildred Strausbaugh all of York and Vivian Bowes of Las Vegas, NV. She was preceded in death by son, Terry Schrom and sister, Ida Smith.
