Etters- Ardis "Artie" J. (Stuck) Sholly, 83, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, April 7, 2010 at her residence with her family and friends by her side. She was the loving wife of the late Ervin "Dutch" R. Sholly. The couple had been together for over 50 years. A Celebration of Life Service will be 1 p.m. on Saturday, April 10, 2010 at Beaver-Urich Funeral Home, 125 N. Front St. Lewisberry, with the Reverend Jeffrey L. Warner officiating. A viewing will be from 11-1 prior to the service. A time of gathering will be held at the family's residence immediately following the service. Burial will be private at the convenience of the family. Mrs. Sholly was born on September 10, 1926 in Marysville, PA., a daughter of the late Emmit L. and Florence I. (Smith) Stuck. Artie worked as a Meat Wrapper for A & P Grocery until her retirement. Mrs. Sholly was a member of the American Legion Post # 974. She enjoyed crocheting, baking, canning, and cooking. Mrs. Sholly is survived by a daughter, Lennie Swartz of Etters; a stepson, Landis J. Sholly of Etters; a stepdaughter, Beverly A. Pincin of Lemoyne; 13 grandchildren; 26 great grandchildren; 2 great great grandchildren; three sisters, Ruth Costello of Marysville, Eunice Berkheimer of Marysville, and Emma McCauslin of Enola; and numerous nieces and nephews. Along with her husband, Dutch, she is preceded in death by a son, Gerald "Pete" S. Stuck; a stepson, Ervin R. Sholly, Jr.; a stepdaughter, Linda Anderson; two sisters, Jane Johns and Marjorie Black; and four brothers, George, Richard, Ellis and William. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Odyssey Health Care Hospice, 4660 Trindle Rd., Suite 204, Camp Hill, PA 17011.
