Arden D. Miller, Sr.

WILKES-BARRE- Arden D. Miller, Sr., 82, of Wilkes-Barre, passed away peacefully at his residence on Friday, October 4, 2013. Born on May 29, 1931 in Plymouth, PA, he was the son of the late George and Margaret (Prichard) Miller. Arden retired from Domoco Gas and Oil Company, Wilkes-Barre .After retirement he continued to work for AJ’s Auto Parts. He was always keeping busy. He enjoyed fishing, bowling and doing carpentry. Arden was preceded in death by his loving wife of 45 years, Mary Ann (Hodgson) Miller, who passed away in 1996 and a son, Robert George Miller. Left to cherish his memory are two loving daughters, Carol Gulich and husband, Donald, Mary Beth Miller and boyfriend, Tony Puza; four loving sons, Arden Jr. and wife, Michelle, Glenn, Mitchell Sr., Dean and wife Denise; twelve grandchildren; four great grandchildren. Visitation will be held on Monday evening at Kniffen O’Malley Funeral Home, 465 S. Main Street, Wilkes-Barre, from 5:00PM to 8:00PM with a service to follow. Interment will be at the convenience of the family in Maple Hill Cemetery, Hanover Township. In lieu of flowers, donations to America Diabetes Association or Muscular Dystrophy Association.
