April P. (Grim) Amspacher

SPRING GROVE - April P. (Grim) Amspacher, 54, passed away Thursday, July 23, 2009 at York Hospital. She was the wife of Grover H. "Butch" Amspacher to whom she was married for 34 years on March 15, 2009. A celebration of life tribute service will be held at 10:00 AM Thursday, July 30, 2009 at Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Road, York with Rev. Dr. Todd J. Witmer officiating. Viewings will be held from 6-9:00 PM Wednesday and 9-10:00 AM Thursday at the Funeral Chapel. Born April 11, 1955 in York a daughter of the late Ellard C. and Marion (Mason) Lentz, she was a 1973 graduate of Spring Grove High School. Mrs. Amspacher had worked at Lowe's in Hanover. She enjoyed tending to her flower gardens, decorating, entertaining, and was proud to have been a breast cancer survivor. Mrs. Amspacher was a member of Primetime Street Rod Club in Abbottstown. She loved spending time with her grandson and her three shepherd dogs, Molly, Sigmon, and the late Angie. In addition to her husband, Mrs. Amspacher is survived by two sons, Joshua J. and wife Sarah Amspacher of Seven Valleys and Andrew N. and wife Alicia Amspacher of West York; a grandson, Sullivan M. Amspacher; two brothers, Charlie A. Mason of Spring Grove and Ellard C. Lentz, Jr. of Manchester; and a sister, Kathy A. Shearer of York.
