Anthony J. "Tony" Gambino

YORK – Anthony J. “Tony” Gambino, 57, passed away Friday, July 17, 2015 at his home. He was the husband of Ila N. (Friedman) Gambino to whom he was married for 26 years. A celebration of life tribute service will be held at 10:00 AM Saturday, July 25, 2015 at Life Tributes by Olewiler & Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 35 Gotham Place, Red Lion with Certified Celebrant Jessica Smith officiating. Visitations will be held from 6-8:00 PM Friday, July 24, 2015 and 9-10:00 AM Saturday at the Funeral Home. Born November 16, 1957 in Clairton, Allegheny Co., a son of the late Jack and Patricia (Farley) Gambino, he was employed at Graham Architectural Products. Tony enjoyed being active and could be found watching and playing basketball, tennis, football, and a multitude of other sports. He especially loved interacting with his son’s sporting adventures. Tony will be forever remembered for his smile and unique laugh that always brightened the room. In addition to his wife Ila, Mr. Gambino is survived by a son, Nate J. Gambino of York; a sister, Jackie Jordan and her significant other Greg Hampton and her children, Erinn Jordan of Clairton and Phillip Jordan of New Orleans, LA; his in-laws, Rita and Allen Friedman of Tampa, FL; brothers in law, Mark and wife Teresa Friedman of Nashville, TN and their children, Zach and wife Stella Friedman of Hoover, AL and Jason and wife Julie Friedman of Nashville, and Keith Friedman of Tampa and his children, Maigan and Jonny Friedman of Los Angeles, CA; and a sister in law, Lois (Friedman) Barron and her children, Danielle and Nicholas Barron all of Penn Hills, PA.
