Anthony J. Diederich Sr

Dallastown—Anthony J. Diederich Sr, 63, beloved father, grandfather, son and husband, passed away Thursday, September 2, 2010 at his residence in York Township. He was the husband of Margaret M. (Tarbert) Diederich. A Catholic Funeral Service will be 2 p.m., Tuesday, September 7, 2010 at Life Tributes by Olewiler and Heffner Funeral Chapel and Crematory, Inc, 35 Gotham Place, Red Lion, with Rev. Fr. Charles L. Persing, officiating. A viewing will be held from 1 to 2 p.m., Tuesday, at the funeral chapel. Burial will be held in Dallastown Union Cemetery. Born November 7, 1946 in Harrisburg, he was a son of Elsie (Bishop) Diederich of Dallastown and the late Robert Diederich Sr. He graduated from York Catholic High School in 1964 and was employed with Associated Wholesalers, Inc, for 20 plus years as a materials handler. He was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Dallastown and enjoyed bowling, golf, baseball and was an avid New York Yankees fan. His family was very important to him, especially his grandchildren, who he loved to watch play baseball and soccer. In addition to his wife and mother, Mr. Diederich is also survived by, a son, Anthony J. Diederich Jr, and wife, Pam of Reading, two daughters, Michelle M. "Shellie" Pisko and husband, Michael of Chester Springs and Alicia M. "Lee" Harman and husband, Matthew of Spring Grove, five grandchildren, Zach, Alex, Jake, Randall, and Trevonna and nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a brother, Robert Diederich Jr. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to American Heart Assoc., 610 Community Way, Lancaster, Pa 17603.
