Anne V. Westerman

YORK-Anne V. (Sugent) Westerman, 77, of W. Manchester Twp., formerly of Virginia Beach & Spotsylvania, VA passed away Sunday, January 27, 2019 at her residence. She was the wife of the late William R “Westy” Westerman. A friends and family visitation will be from 5-6 p.m., followed by a celebration of life service at 6 p.m. on Friday, February 1, 2019 at Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Rd. in York. The Reverend Sally A. Gausmann will be officiating at the service. Burial will be in Arlington National Cemetery, with a service to be announced at a later date. Mrs. Westerman was born in New Castle, PA on July 25, 1941, the daughter of the late Andrew and Mary Ellen (Smith) Sugent. Mrs. Westerman was a member of Saint Paul Lutheran Church in York. She was a dedicated military wife. She enjoyed traveling, spending time with her family, and going to casinos. Mrs. Westerman leaves two sons, David Westerman of York, and Scott Westerman and his wife, Shoreh of Portland, OR; and six grandchildren, Cory, Leah, Brennan, Raiden, Hannah, and Maggie. She was preceded in death by two sisters, Carolyn and Mary Ellen “Toots”.
