WILLIAMSPORT - Anne Marie Floyd Simon, 89, died on Thursday, March 1, 2012 at Rose View Center, where she was a resident for the past 7 years. Anne was born on April 3, 1922 in New York City, and was the daughter of the late Joseph and Sarah (Tickolosky) Simon. Anne was a member of the Golden Agers and former member of the Friends of the Court and as an assistant for Meals on Wheels. She was a former president of the Senior Citizens Council and held various positions with other senior organizations. Anne is survived by two sons; Robert “Bob” Floyd of Williamsport and Thomas “Tom” Floyd of S. Williamsport, five daughters; Patricia Knull of Williamsport, Jerilynne Adams of Harrisburg, and Tammy Dukes, Penny Dukes and Peggy Peterman, all of Williamsport, 15 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers; Hymie and Herman and three sisters; Mildred, Ida and Sarah. The funeral service will be held 11:00 a.m. Monday, March 5, 2012 at the Allen & Redmond Funeral Home, 331 Elmira St., Williamsport, PA 17701 with Rabbi Shaul Rappeport officiating. Burial will follow in Ohev Sholom Cemetery. In keeping with Jewish tradition, there will be no viewing or flowers. Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
