Annamae J. Gross

YORK—Annamae J. “Joyce” (Smith) Gross, 80, passed away Thursday, March 13, 2025 at Country Meadows of York – West. She was the wife of the late Dean E. Gross.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 10:00AM, Wednesday March 19, 2025 at Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Rd, York. Officiating the service will be the Rev. Donald Heindel Jr. A Visitation will be held from 9:00 – 10:00AM, Wednesday at the funeral home. Burial will be held in Prospect Hill Cemetery.

Born November 22, 1944 in York, she was the daughter of the late Monatto E. Smith Sr., and Sarah (Steidler) Smith.

She was employed as a clerk with the York County Elections Office for 20 years. After which, she worked at Transply Inc., until her retirement.

A member of the VW Club and Antique Car Club, she also participated in several mission trips to various locations across the globe. She attended Genisis Church for several years and was a 1962 graduate of W. York High School.

Mrs. Gross is survived by her brother, Monatto E. Smith Jr., and his wife, Patricia of Dover and numerous nieces and nephews.
