WINDSOR TOWNSHIP- Annabel J. (Anstine) Staley, 83, of Red Lion, passed away Saturday, April 25, 2009 at Memorial Hospital. She was the loving wife of Donald R. Staley. The couple celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary on November 13, 2008 and renewed their vows on their 50th and 60th anniversaries. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 10:30a.m. on Wednesday, April 29, 2009 at Life Tributes by Olewiler & Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 35 Gotham Place in Red Lion, with a viewing from 9-10:30 a.m. Her pastor, Minister Edward L. Wentz will be officiating at the service. Burial will be in Susquehanna Memorial Gardens in York Township. Mrs. Staley was born in Bittersville on November 4, 1925, a daughter of the late Simon and Edith Mae (Kling) Anstine. She worked for York Caramel Company, Jason's Shirt Company in East York, and McCrory's Distribution Center in York. Mrs. Staley was a member of Bittersville United Methodist Church. She was a caring and giving person who took care of her family and friends throughout her life. She and Donald enjoyed traveling to the 49 continental states in a small motor home and enjoyed a trip to Hawaii. They traveled to Europe for their 25th wedding anniversary. Along with her loving husband, Donald, Mrs. Staley leaves nieces and nephews, Eleanor Shreve, Norma Matthews, Danielle Schmuck, Terrance Staley, Lonnie Staley, Vicki Tomes, Wayne Staley, Dean Staley, and Craig Staley; and great nieces and great nephews. Memorial contributions may be made to Bittersville United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 185, Windsor, PA 17366.
