Annabel I. (Bupp) Strock

ETTERS - Annabel I. (Bupp) Strock, 84, passed away Friday, May 29, 2009 at Harrisburg Hospital. She was the wife of the late Curtis A. Strock. A celebration of life tribute service will be held at 11:00 AM Friday, June 5, 2009 at Beaver Urich Funeral Home, Inc., 305 West Front Street, Lewisberry. Viewings will be held from 6-8:00 PM Thursday and 10-11:00 AM Friday at the Funeral Home. Burial will be in Paddletown Cemetery. Born September 14, 1924 in Zion's View a daughter of the late Clarence A. and Carrie M. (Gingerich) Bupp, she had worked at the former Goldsboro Garment Co. and Newberry Dress Factory and later retired from Berg Electronics. Mrs. Strock is survived by a son, Dean R. and wife Vanessa Ort of Valley View, PA; three daughters, Doretha E. Melvin of Houston, TX, Roberta J. and husband William Popp of Dover, and Julia E. and husband William Berry of North Vernon, IN; six grandchildren, Shannon Terry, David Hertzler, Angelique Swoyer, Cher Wetzel, JaCita Armstrong, and Joshua Popp; six great grandchildren, Krista Hertzler, Paige Hertzler, Tyler Sprague, Gage Terry, Brikeal Armstrong, and Corbin Terry; a brother, Bruce Bupp of York; four sisters, Beatrice Householder of Virginia, Edith Hake and Theda Reed both of York, and Marion Mansberger of Etters; two uncles, Jacob Gingerich, and Guy Gingerich of Thomasville; and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by two brothers and two sisters. Memorial contributions may be made to American Cancer Society, 3211 N. Front Street, Harrisburg, PA, 17110.
