Anna Romaine (Zartman) Freed

YORK- Anna Romaine (Zartman) Freed, 87, died Tuesday, April 6, 2010 at York Lutheran Home at Sprenkle Dr. She was the wife of the late George Levi Freed. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, April 8, 2010 at Life Tributes by Olewiler & Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 35 Gotham Place in Red Lion, with a visitation from 10-11 a.m. Chaplain John Morrill will be officiating at the service. Burial will be in Mount Rose Cemetery. Mrs. Freed was born in York on June 4, 1922, a daughter of the late George Raymond and Anna Romaine (Forry) Zartman. Mrs. Freed was a member of Luther Memorial Church in York, Galleria Mall Walker's and Widow Support Group. Mrs. Freed leaves two sons, Steven R. Freed of York and Daniel E. Freed of Baltimore; three daughters, Joanne R. Deardorff of East Stroudsburg, Debra Sue Kohler of Monrovia, MD, Georgette E. Freed-Wolf of York; eight grandchildren; two sisters, Margaret Gemmill of York and Nancy Buck of East Berlin; and nieces and nephews. A brother, Raymond Zartman preceded her in death. Memorial contributions may be made to Aseracare Hospice.
