Anna R. (Smith) Stabley

WINDSOR- Anna R. (Smith) Stabley, 94 died at York Hospital Sunday morning, December 16, 2007. She was married to the late Kenneth S. Stabley. A Celebration of Life Tribute service will be 11 am Wednesday at Life Tributes by Olewiler & Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 35 Gotham Pl., Red Lion with the Rev. Anthony Zumbo of Windsor Church of God officiating. A viewing will be Wednesday from 10-11 am at the funeral home. Burial will be in Susquehanna memorial Gardens. Anna was born in Windsor Twp. on April 3, 1913, a daughter of the late Samuel and Rebecca (Emenheiser) Smith. She was employed with several of the cigar factories in the area but retired from Wolf Bros. & Co., Red Lion. Anna married Kenneth S. Stabley in 1945 and the couple shared 56 years of marriage. Anna enjoyed taking care of her house and tending to her flowers, which were her pride and joy. Her sister, Elsie Young of Shrewsbury and several nieces and nephews survive Anna. Four brothers, Henry, Elmer, Paul, and David Stabley and two sisters, Mary Beaverson and Alice Shumaker precede her in death. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Red Lion Area Ambulance Association, 312 Horace Mann Ave., Red Lion, PA 17356.
