Anna Marie Riedel

DALLASTOWN- Anna Marie (Di Meo) Riedel, 91, passed away peacefully on December 15, 2018 at her residence with her daughter at her bedside. She was the wife of the late Lewis ‘Louie’ E. Riedel to whom she was married to for 55 years before his passing on May 29, 2007. Born on May 14, 1927, in West Philadelphia, she was a daughter of the late Lombardo and Louisa (Tursi) Di Meo. Anna worked at Snellenbergs Department Store, Philadelphia City Hall, and The Farmers Fire Insurance Company of York for 34 years before her retirement. She leaves to cherish her memory a daughter, Lou Ann Marie Riedel of Dallastown and her dearest friends, Dr. Dipak Patel and Father Charles Ocul; Honorary daughter, Robyn Hoffmann-Eugenides of CT; The Friends of Barbaro; The Finkenbiner family and the Steins (Blythe, Shane, Eliza, and Sully); her ‘grandkitties,’ and many precious four-legged friends. A private graveside service was held on Thursday, December 20, 2018. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to either The Barbaro Fund, University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine, 3800 Spruce Street, Ste. 172E, Philadelphia, PA 19104, to Holy Spirit Adoration Sisters Convent of Divine Love, 2212 Green Street, Philadelphia, PA 19130, or to any favorite animal rescue or shelter of your choice.
