York—Anna Margaret “Margie” (Anderson) Horner, 90, died Tuesday, January 8, 2013 at the Brunswick at Longstown. She was the wife of the late Paul Eugene Horner whom she married May 21, 1944. A Graveside Tribute Service will be 2:30 PM, Monday, January 14, 2013 at Mt. Rose Cemetery, 1502 Mt. Rose Ave., York. Officiating the service will be the Rev. Ron Oelrich of Faith United Church of Christ in York and the Rt. Rev. Barry E. Yingling, CSSS of the Brunswick at Longstown. Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Rd, York is in charge of arrangements. Born June 7, 1922 in York, she was a daughter of the late Herbert F. and Anna M. (Ernst) Anderson. She was employed as a secretary in the mortgage department of York Bank and Trust for 20 years until her retirement in 1989. A member of Bethany United Church of Christ where she played piano in the children’s choir and sang in the adult choir, she also participated with the York Symphony Chorus. She was a 1940 graduate of William Penn High School and enjoyed camping and spending time with family. Mrs. Horner is survived by one son, Ronald L. Horner and wife, Linda of York; one daughter, Diane M. Beegle and husband, Michael of Mt. Wolf; three grandchildren, Tracey and husband Andrew, Todd and wife, Claudia and Anne; three step grandchildren, Monica, Christian and Adrian; five step great grandchildren, Mitchell, Amber, Paige, Nicco and Marsellis and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by one brother, Herbert Anderson and three sisters, Madilyn Klepper, Doris Weller and Dorothy Anderson.
