Windsor- Anna Mae (Hoover) Beckley, 82, died Friday, February 14, 2014 at Manor Care Health Services in Dallastown. She was the wife of the late James Lewis Beckley, married 58 years on September 2, 2008. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, February 21, 2014 at Life Tributes by Olewiler & Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 35 Gotham Place in Red Lion, with a viewing from 1-2 p.m. The Reverend Paul N. Frank will be officiating at the service. Burial will be in Susquehanna Memorial Gardens. Mrs. Beckley was born in Spring Grove on August 10, 1931, the daughter of the late Clair D. and Annie (Sellers) Hoover, Sr. She retired from Danskin in 1991, where she worked as a seamstress for 30 years. Mrs. Beckley was a member of Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Freysville, where she was a member of LCW (Lutheran Church Women) and the Retired Group. Mrs. Beckley leaves a son, James “Jim” W. Beckley and his wife Elaine of Columbia; two daughters, Carol A. Grove and her husband, Scott of East Prospect, Christine “Chris” A. Miller and her husband Louie of Red Lion. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Cheryl A. Braner and two brothers, Clair “Sonny” Hoover, Jr. and Glenn Hoover. She is also survived by eight grandchildren, nine great grandchildren, two step grandchildren, five step great grandchildren; three sisters, Vivian Jamison of Yoe, Gloria Waltemeyer of Red Lion, and Helen Schurtz of York Haven; a son-in-law, Fred “Fritz” Braner; and many nieces and nephews. Memorial Contributions may be made to Emmanuel Lutheran Church, 2650 Freysville Road, Red Lion, PA 17356.
