POTTSVILLE- Anna Madara, 92, of Pottsville, passed away Tuesday morning at her residence. Born in Saint Clair on November 3, 1919, she was a daughter of the late Michael and Anna Wolansky Tomko. Anna was a member of the Evangelical United Methodist Church, Pottsville. She was a member of the Order of Eastern Star, Chapter 424. Anna loved to travel and enjoyed dancing. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers and sisters, Mary, Katie John and Steven Tomko. Anna is survived by her loving husband of 71 years, Frank F. Madara, of Pottsville; her two daughters Judith Zitka, wife of Ed, of Lititz and Karen Schwilk, wife of Larry, of Ephrata; her five grandchildren, Kim and Kelly Zitka, Christopher and Jamie Schwilk and Shannon Dumser; her five great grandchildren, Tyler Zitka, Colby and Tanner Schwilk and Simon and Grace Dumser; her two sisters, Helen Peshock, Of Texas and Elsie Krisa, of Saint Clair; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held on Friday morning at 11:00 A.M. at Schlitzer-Allen-Pugh Funeral Home, Inc., 6th & West Market Sts., Pottsville. Pastor Nelson Reppert will officiate. Family and friends may call on Friday morning from 9:00 until time of service at the funeral home. Interment will be held in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville, PA.
