Anna M. Howard

WINDSOR - Anna M. Howard, 101, went to her Heavenly Home on April 11, 2007 at ManorCare Health Services in Dallastown. She was the wife of Earl Howard, who died August 26, 1954. Visitation will be from 9:00 to 10:00 a.m. Saturday, April 14, 2007 at Life Tributes By Olewiler & Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 35 Gotham Place in Red Lion. A Memorial Service will immediately follow at 10:00 a.m. at the funeral chapel, with Pastor Courtland Howard officiating. Burial will be in Windsor Cemetery. Anna was the daughter of Samuel and Julia (Paules) Oberdorff. She was the 11th of 12 children. She was the last surviving member of the family. She was born February 3, 1906 on the family farm in Windsor Township. Anna loved to crochet, garden, ice skate, cook, travel, and visit flea markets. She attended Emmanuel United Methodist Church in Windsor. She was a homemaker and worked for many years in various Cigar Factories in Windsor and Red Lion. Anna is survived by two sons; Donald and Mildred (Gulden) Howard of Windsor, and Darwin and Edna (Kinard) Howard of Red Lion, eight grandchildren; Cynthia (Howard) and Gary Conway of Windsor, Jolene (Howard) and Jay Goodling of Red Lion, Donald and Lynn (Mitchell) Howard of Airville, Randy Howard of Dallastown, Blaine Howard of Red Lion, Courtland and Lori (Campbell) Howard of Red Lion, Todd and Mary (Hammond) of Ocean Pines, MD, and Lori (Howard) and David Blymire of York, 2 step grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, 5 great great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband Earl, Anna was also preceded in death by her infant son, Kermit, and 11 brothers and sisters.
