Anna M. (Gira) Maneval

WILLIAMSPORT - Anna M. (Gira) Maneval, 95,died on Wednesday, May 2, 2007 at the Williamsport Home. She would have celebrated her 96th birthday this Sunday. She was the wife of the late Clair H. Maneval, Sr. who had died in 1992. The couple had been married over 50 years before his death. Anna was born on May 6, 1911 in Osceola, a daughter of the late Joseph and Bertha (Hollis) Gira. She was a dedicated homemaker and a member of the Annunciation Catholic Church, Williamsport. Anna is survived by three grandchildren; Chevonne Nikerson of Horseheads, NY, Holli Maneval of Levittown, PA and Kim Seymour of Horseheads, NY, four great grandchildren; Chris Crater, Keith Seymour, Sean Nickerson and Jenna Nickerson, all of Horseheads, NY, two brothers; Joseph Gira of Raleigh, NC and Martin Gira of Williamsport, one sister; Virginia Bower of Williamsport, one sister in law; Margaret Gira of Williamsport and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by one son; Clair H. Maneval Jr. and two brothers; John and George Gira. A mass of Christian burial will be held 10:00 a.m. Tuesday at the Annunciation Catholic Church, 701 West Fourth St., Williamsport. Burial will follow in Wildwood Cemetery. The Reverend Paul C. Fontanella will officiate the services. In keeping with Anna's wishes, there will be no viewing or visitation. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Anna's memory to the Annunciation Catholic Church, 410 Walnut St., Williamsport, PA 17701 or to Southern Care Hospice, 190 Choate Circle, Suite B, Montoursville, PA 17754. Arrangements are by the Allen & Redmond Funeral Home, 331 Elmira St., Williamsport.
