Anna M. Gee" (Rosenberger) Messner

Anna M. "Gee" Messner, 80, of Pottsville, died Thursday at the Pottsville Hospital. Born in Pottsville on December 23, 1926, she was a daughter of the late Andrew and Mary (Steinmetz) Rosenberger. She attended Pottsville High School. She was married to the late John M. Messner, who died December 14, 1993. Until retiring, she was employed by Pine Shirt. She was a member of the St. John the Baptist Church, Pottsville, where she was also a member of the catholic womens union. Surviving Gee are: a son John "Jack" and his wife Aggie, of Pottsville; a daughter, Rose Ann and her husband Jerry Yonchuk, of Pottsville; two grandsons, Michael and Mark Messner; two brothers, Paul Rosenberger and Joseph Rosenberger, both of Pottsville; a sister, Margaret Miechowski, of Wind Gap; several nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by: a brother Robert Rosenberger; and two sisters, Rita Stock and Dorothy Dove. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday at 10 AM from the St. John the Baptist Church, Potsville. The Rev. David Loeper will officiate. Family and friends may call at the church on Tuesday from 9 until time of Mass. Interment will be in the parish cemetery. The Schlitzer Allen Pugh Funeral Home, Inc. 6th & W. Market St., Pottsville is handling the arrangements.
