Anna M. 'Doots' 'Wav' (Heiner) Beck

YORK- Anna M. “Doots” (Heiner) Beck, 82, passed away on Wednesday, November 2, 2011 at the York Lutheran Home. She was the wife of the late Martin Luther Beck, Sr., who passed away on June 19, 2011. A graveside service will be 1 p.m. on Wednesday, November 9, 2011 at Mt. Rose Cemetery, 1502 Mt. Rose Ave., York with Chaplain Hank Steinhilber officiating. Friends and Family will gather at the entrance of the cemetery at 12:45 p.m. Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Rd., York, is in charge of arrangements. Mrs. Beck was born on July 14, 1929 in York New Salem, the daughter of the late Stewart and Dortha (Kopp) Heiner. Anna was a housewife. She was a member of the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary of West Manchester. Mrs. Beck is survived by a son, Martin Luther Beck, Jr. and his wife, Barbara L. of York; a daughter, Maria Lana Wood of York; four grandchildren, who referred to their grandma as “Wav”, Scott E. Wood, Kelby P. Wood, Martin L. Beck III and John G. Beck; four great grandchildren, Rhianna Wood, Caitlyn Wood, Martin L. Beck IV and Tindell Beck; and a brother, Donald Heiner and his wife, Charlotte of York New Salem. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Stewart Heiner, Jr. and Richard L. Heiner.
