Anna M. (Campion) Carlin, 91, formerly of Pottsville died Saturday December 21 at Seton Manor, Orwigsburg. Born in Heckschersville on September 1, 1922, she was the daughter of the late Thomas and Mary (Callaghan) Campion. She was a member of St. Michael the Archangel Roman Catholic Church, Minersville. She was retired from the US Department of Army and had worked at the Philadelphia Arsenal. She was preceded in death by her husband Thomas Carlin in 1985. She and Tom had enjoyed their winters vacationing in Florida and they made many friends while they were on those vacations. In addition to her husband Thomas, Anna was preceded in death by a brother Harold Campion and sisters Elizabeth Campion, Lucy Campion, Marie Campion Schueller, and Margaret Campion Oehler. She is survived by a brother James Campion and several nieces and nephews. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 o’clock Saturday December 28, 2013 at St. Patrick Roman Catholic Church, Pottsville. Family and friends may call from 10 to 11 AM at the Chapel of St. Patrick Roman Catholic Church. There will not be any calling hours Friday evening. Interment will be held at St. Ambrose RC Cemetery, Schuylkill Haven. Schlitzer Allen Pugh Funeral Home 515 West Market Street Pottsville has been entrusted with arrangements.
