Anna L. Swartz

DOVER- Anna L. (Eckenrode) Swartz, 88, of Conewago Twp., passed away Sunday, March 4, 2018 at Memorial Hospital. She was the wife of Lewis H. Swartz. The couple celebrated their 71st wedding anniversary on February 8, 2018. A celebration of life service will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, March 8, 2018 at Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Rd. in York, with a viewing from 10-11 a.m. The Reverend Sayward Lippincott and The Reverend Dr. Stephen Nicholas will be officiating at the service. Burial will be in Mount Rose Cemetery. Mrs. Swartz was born in York on November 30, 1929, the daughter of the late Harry D. Eckenrode and the late Orley E. (Stevens) Lehr. She was a loving homemaker. Mrs. Swartz was a member of First Moravian Church of York, where she taught Sunday school for over 50 years. She was a 1947 graduate of York High School and was a member of York County Farm Women Group #30. Mrs. Swartz leaves a daughter, Debra A. Fornal and her husband Chuck of New Jersey; two sons, Ronald L. Swartz of Lancaster, and Keith L. Swartz and his wife Angie of Texas; nine grandchildren, and ten great grandchildren.
