Anna E. (Coup) Geiswite

MILTON - Anna E. (Coup) Geiswite, 85, of Milton, RD., died on Wednesday, April 8, 2009 at the home of her son and daughter-in-law in Winfield. Anna was born on March 17, 1924 in Milton and was a daughter of the late Francis M. and Sadie (Carter) Coup. She was married in 1940 to the late Earl B. Geiswite, Sr., and who had died in 1987. She was a homemaker and had cleaned for several prominent people in the Lewisburg area. She was a member of the Church of Christ in Christian Union in Lewisburg. She enjoyed being with her family, working outside with her flowers, and enjoyed teaching primary Sunday School in her younger years. Anna is survived by three sons and daughters-in-law; Earl B. and Mary E. Geiswite, Jr. of Watsontown, Ronald E. "Ron" and Janice Geiswite, Sr. of Milton and Paul R. and Linda D. Geiswite of Winfield, one daughter and son-in-law; Anna L. and John J. Thomas, Sr. of Mifflinburg, seven grandchildren, sixteen great grandchildren, one brother; Merrill N. Coup of Milton and nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two brothers; Lemuel and Fred Coup, four sisters; Pearline Funk, Helen Scott, Evelyn Winter and Mary E. Ranck, one granddaughter; Melinda Southers, one great grandson; Calvin Southers and two great granddaughters; Tiffany Pfleegor and Selena Southers. There will be a public viewing 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Monday, April 13, 2009 at the Church of Christ in Christian Union, 199 Newman Rd., Lewisburg, PA 17837 with the funeral service beginning at 1:00 p.m. The Reverend John F. Saultz will officiate the services. Burial will follow in the Montandon Cemetery, Montandon. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in memory of Anna may be made to a charity of one's choice.
