YORK- Anna Belle “Annie” (Hicks) Hall, 89, passed away on Tuesday, February 18, 2025 at UPMC Memorial Hospital. She was the widow of the late Rudolph A. Hall.
A celebration of life tribute service will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, March 3, 2025 at Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Rd., York with Reverend Marlon Carter officiating. A viewing will be from 10-11 a.m. prior to the service. The service will be livestreamed around 11 a.m. at HeffnerCare.com on Annie’s obituary page. Burial will be in Susquehanna Memorial Gardens.
Born on July 17, 1935 in Raleigh, NC, she was a daughter of the late Henry and Calso (Jordan) Hicks. Annie was a 1955 graduate of the Berry O'Kelly High School in Raleigh, NC. Annie worked in the culinary field at the former Sword & Shield Cafe, the former Lafayette Club the former Hill Restaurant in York.
Annie was a member of the Small Memorial AME Zion Church in York where she was an Usher and was in charge of the Junior Usher Board. She loved to make crafts, was a member of a bowling league at Colony Park Lanes East and was a member of the White Rose Senior Center for many years. In her leisure, she liked to do crossword puzzles.
Annie is survived by her son, Scott Hall and his wife, Kimberly of York; daughter, Angie Hall of York; two grandchildren, Savannah Wilson of Baltimore and Leonard Faulkner, Jr. of York; five great grandchildren, Camauri, Bianca, Steve Jr., Abraham and Kingston; two sisters, Stella Spells and her husband, Gregory, Sr. of Harrisburg and Bernice Hicks of Raleigh, NC; and several nieces and nephews.
