MILTON - Our Beloved mother, Ann Emery, went to her heavenly reward on Sunday, July 31, 2011 at the Kramm Healthcare Center, Milton. She was born June 6, 1923 in Liverpool England, the daughter of the late Patrick and Rose Power. Ann survived the World War II bombings in England. It was during this time that she met her love, an American Soldier, Charles W. Emery. The couple were married on November 17, 1945 in England. Ann followed her husband back to the states where they resided in Pennsylvania for years to come. Ann and Charles had 11 children together. Ann belonged to the St. Joseph Catholic Church, where she attended mass daily. She was a member of the Parish Council of Catholic Women and the Rosary Society. She was an avid knitter and created colorful blankets, slippers and various crafts for her grandchildren, great grandchildren and other family and friends. Ann retired from the United Methodist Nursing Home in Lewisburg. She is survived by: five daughters, Rose Zartman, Mifflinburg, Patricia and her husband Stanley Moscariello, Milton, Elizabeth and her husband, Richard Tornetta, Conshohocken, Harriet and her husband Gary Moore, Milton, and Bridget Emery of Lewisburg; two sons, Vincent and his wife Mary Emery, Milton and Martin “John” and his wife Cathy Emery, Mifflinburg; a sister, Mary and her husband, Gerard Howard, Stamford, Ct; 20 grandchildren and 31 great grandchildren. In addition to her parents and husband, Ann was preceded in death by: four sons, Joseph, Michael, Charles and David Emery; her godson, Paul Emery, a great grandson, Ethan Tornetta ManCoyr and a sister, Elizabeth Power. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday morning at 11 AM from the St. Joseph Church, 109 Broadway, Milton, with Father Thomas Scala celebrating. Family and friends may call from the Dale Ranck Funeral Services, 125 Front St., Milton from 9 AM until 10:45 AM Wednesday. Interment will be St. Joseph Cemetery, Milton. Memorial contributions can be made in Ann’s name to St. Joseph Church, 109 Broadway, Milton, PA 17847.
