Ann Megna Pottsville-Ann Megna 86, formerly of Pottsville, died Saturday at the Spring Hill Regional Hospital, Spring Hill Born in Minersville |February 1, 1922 the daughter of the late Roman and Theodora (Prytyskacz) Melnick. She graduated from Minersville High School. She and her husband were owner and operator of Megna Brothers Dry Cleaners, Pottsville. She was a member of the former Saint Joseph Church, Pottsville and a member of Saint Frances Cabrini Church, Spring Hill, Fla. She is preceded in death by four brothers Frank, Michael, Wassel and John Melnick. Surviving is her husband Andrew Megna, of Spring Hill, Fla to who she was married 60 years. Two sons Andrew, husband Patricia Megna,Jr., Emmaus, PA Alan, husband of Mary Megna, Mechanicsburg, PA. Four grandchildren, one great-grandson, five sisters Marie Pepere, New York; Helen Hoke, Gettysburg, PA; Julie Gottschall, Lancaster, PA; Theresa Rizzardi, Minersville, PA; Stella Enge, St. Louis, Mo; three brothers Peter, Minersville; Nicholas, Camp Hill, PA and Andrew Melnick, Reading, Pa several nieces and nephews. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 A.M. on Thursday, September 25, 2008 at Saint Patrick Church. There will be no calling hours Wednesday evening, family and friends may call the Schlitzer-Allen-Pugh Funeral Home, Inc., on Thursday morning from 9:00 A.M. till 10:30 A.M.
