POTTSVILLE- Ann Marie Jamison, 72, of Pottsville, passed away Wednesday evening at Lehigh Valley Medical Center, Cedar Crest Blvd, Allentown. Born in Pottsville on March 13, 1941, Ann Marie was a daughter of the late Joseph and Helen Bobal Tuite. Ann Marie was a member of the first class to graduate from Nativity BVM, which was the Class of 1959. She attended nursing school at Misericordia School of Nursing, Philadelphia. Ann Marie retired in 2003, after serving 27 years as a Licensed Practical Nurse from the former Good Samaritan Hospital, Pottsville. Ann Marie was a member of the former Mary Queen of Peace Church, Pottsville. She enjoyed going to the beach whenever her health would allow her to. She loved to go camping and made many friends over the years . She enjoyed crocheting at home. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Thomas Tuite. Ann Marie is survived by her loving husband of 52 years, Elwood Jamison, of Pottsville, to whom she married on September 10, 1960; her three daughters, Lisa Emrick, , wife of Michael, of Sunbury, PA, Karen DeLaTorre, wife of Larry, of Landingville and Michelle Blankenhorn, wife of Scott, of Cressona; her two sons, Stephen Jamison, husband of A. Colleen, of New Ringgold and Thomas Jamison, of Pottsville; her 11 Granchildren; her 6 Great grandchildren; her brother, Joseph Tuite, husband of Theresa, of Pottsville; her two sisters, Bernadette Poorman, wife of Gary, and Carolyn Stoffregen, wife of Norman, both of Pottsville; she is also survived by many nieces and nephews. A memorial Service will be held on Tuesday morning at 11:00 A.M. at Schlitzer-Allen-Pugh Funeral Home, Garfield Square, 6th & West Market Streets, Pottsville. Family and friends are invited to attend a one hour calling time on Tuesday morning from 10:00 A.M. until the time of the memorial service at the funeral home. Interment will be held in Saint Bertha’s Cemetery, Lewistown Valley, where her parents are interred. Memorial contributions may be sent to Pottsville EMS, 9th & Laurel Blvd., Pottsville, or Hillside SPCA, Hillside Road, Pottsville, PA 17901.
