POTTSVILLE- Angeline Dudish, 91, of Pottsville, passed away at her home on Tuesday, Christmas evening. Born in Pottsville on June 13, 1921 she was a daughter of the late Antonio and Jennie Kutch Lascala. Angie was a 1939 graduate of Pottsville High School. Following graduation she was employed by Philadelphia and Reading Coal and Iron as a secretary. She then graduated from Empire Beauty school, Pottsville. She took some time off of work to raise her children. She then accepted a position in the Veterans Affairs Office in the Schuylkill County Courthouse, she was then transferred to the Treasurer’s Office where she retired as 1st Deputy in the Treasurer’s Office. Angie was an executive board member of Schuylkill County Republican Committee, where she was elected as a State Republican Committee. She was a member of the Board of Directors for the Schuylkill County Federal Union and CACL Federal Credit Union. She was a lifetime PTA member, a cub scout Den Mother and a Girl Scout leader. Angie served on her class reunion committee and a board member of Habitat for Humanity. Angeline was a member of Saint Patrick’s Church, Pottsville Angeline loved to travel with her husband around the United States and abroad. She enjoyed spending summer vacations at the Jersey Shore, especially Avalon and Stone Harbor, NJ. In addition to her parents, Angeline was preceded in death by her husband, Andrew Matthew Dudish, who passed away January 21, 2012; her brother, Frank Lascala; her sister, Louis Sosnoskie. She is survived by her two daughters, Sandra Griesbaum, wife of Gerry, of Pottsville and Karen Gelting, wife of Jeff, of Deer Lake; her son A. Matthew Dudish, husband of Ann, of Pottsville; here six grandchildren, Krista Verano, wife of Christian, Kevin Griesbaum, husband of Mauli, Keith Griesbaum, husband of Kristen, Amanda Dudish-Black, wife of Mark, Andrew Dudush and Garrett Getling; her five great grandchildren, Kyra, Nate and Bella Verano and Neil and Lily Griesbaum; numerous nieces and nephews. Mass of Christian Burial will celebrated on Saturday morning at 10:30 AM at Saint Patrick’s Church, 4th and Mahantongo Streets, Pottsville. Family and friends may call on Saturday morning from 8:30 A.M. until 10:00 A.M. at Schlitzer-Allen-Pugh Funeral Home, Inc., 6th & West Market Sts., Pottsville. Interment will immediately follow in Calvary Cemetery, Hillside, Pottsville. Memorial contributions can be sent to the Pottsville Free Public Library, 215 West Market Street, Pottsville, PA 17901 or Saint Joseph’s Center for Special Learning, 2075 West Norwegian Street, Pottsville, PA 17901.
